  • Leave a space of at least 10 cm at each side of the copier.
  • Connect the equipment to a polarized outlet (less than 10 ohms) totally independent from the breakers box. A surge suppressor is recommended. In areas where voltage fluctuations or failure of the electric system are common. AN electronic control REGULATOR is necessary.
  • Prevent placing the equipment in dust contaminated environment to avoid copy quality problems.
  • Prevent exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Prevent equipment exposure to extreme temperatures or high humidity levels. Do not locate near air conditioners or heater units.

During operation:

  • Use gram specified quality paper (75 grams/m2), that is properly cut and lacking wrinkles, curves or folds.
  • To prevent humidity in the paper, this must be stored without opening the original package. In the event that a copy shows poor quality try getting a copy on both sides of the sheet to find out if the problem was humidity. If the copy comes out clean the second time you must change the paper.
  • When an original copy is very light, use manual exposition control to increment the copy's intensity.
  • In the event that the machine indicates a paper jam, it is necessary to remove the jammed paper before continuing.
  • Do not feed the machine with paper containing clips or staples. If your equipment has an automatic feeder for originals, this rule also applies

User product guide for VIDEO PROJECTORS.

Sharp Video Projectors are products of high quality, designed to last. The main causes for malfunctions are excessive concentrations of heat in the video projector, an unstable power supply, or inappropriate use when handling. To maximize product life the following is recommended:

During installation check for:

  • Proper Ventilation : the purpose of the grooves and openings of the video projector is to ventilate the system. These grooves and openings must not be blocked or covered to avoid overheating.
  • Grounding : This video projector is equipped with a ground connection. This constitutes a safety feature. Connect the video projector to a ground outlet that is independent from the breaker box. Do not disengage this ground connection safety feature.
  • Power supply : in areas where voltage fluctuations are frequent , it is necessary to use an electronic control stabilizer. A surge suppressor is recommended (including any external devices connected to the video projector).
  • Lightning precautions : protection for the video projector and any peripherals (PC, VHS, DVD etc) that are connected be turned off and unplugged during an electric storm. This measure will prevent damage from electrical discharges and tension increments in the power line.
  • Environment : Prevent placing the equipment in dust contaminated environment to avoid obstruction to the air filter on the video projector.
  • Heat : do not leave video projector in contact with heating sources such as amplifiers, radiators, heat exits, stoves and other heat emitting devices.
  • Bumps : do not allow video projector to be in a place where it can be easily hit. Any bump may cause failure of the video projector –especially the lamp.
  • Water and moisture : Prevent equipment exposure to extreme temperatures or high humidity levels. Do not locate near air conditioners or heater units. Do not use the video projector near water, a bathroom, kitchen basin, washing machines, humid rooms, near a pool, etc.

When Operating:

  • Clean air filter before initiating a projection session, the filter must be cleaned by taking it out of the video projector because obstruction of this part may cause excessive heat concentrations for the device. This filter must be cleaned with a vacuum extension tube or with water pressure (without soap) and let dry before placing it. When the filter is worn out, replace it, do not use the video projector without this filter.
  • The system ventilator turns off automatically at a certain time after turning the video projector off. The main power switch may not be turned off while the ventilator is working. Once the video projector is turned on, it should not be moved during its operation. The internal temperature of the video projector is very high, and any bump may damage it, especially the lamp. In order to move the video projector, turn it off and wait for it cool down. At least 7 to 10 minutes.
